Cricket Mela Bonn
Once a year we turn the Cricket-Stadion Rheinaue into a meeting point for cricket, street food, music and family. Cricket Mela is our biggest club festival — open to members, guests and anyone curious about cricket and South Asian culture.

What is Cricket Mela?
One day. Four worlds.
„Mela“ ist Hindi/Urdu für Fest oder Versammlung — und genau das ist Cricket Mela: ein Tag, an dem Cricket, südasiatische Kultur und die Bonner Community zusammenkommen. Aus einem Vereinsturnier ist über die Jahre ein offenes Stadtfest geworden. Hier ist, was du erwarten kannst.

Demos, a mini match and beginner cricket. Everyone can join in — whether you've never held a bat or you play in the Bundesliga.
Street food
Indian & Pakistani
Samosas, biryani, mango lassi, chai and more — freshly prepared. A taste of the subcontinent in the Bonn Rheinaue.
Music & atmosphere
Live & Bollywood
Live music and Bollywood classics — from traditional to modern. Dancing very much encouraged.
Families
Programme for kids
Kids cricket sessions, games and activities. Family-friendly, free, and plenty of space in the park.

Opening & cricket
Welcome from the board. First cricket demo for beginners. Kids cricket runs in parallel.
Friendly match
Mela match with mixed teams. Street food stalls open, live music starts in the background.
Family programme
Games for children, beginner cricket, picnic on the lawn. For every age group.
Bollywood evening
Live music, Bollywood classics and a dance floor. Closing as the sun sets over the Rheinaue.

Want to get involved or support the Mela as a sponsor? Cricket Mela is a community effort. Every year we look for volunteers for setup, takedown, street food stalls, catering and programme. Sponsors get visibility at an event with hundreds of visitors from Bonn and the region.
